Marital satisfaction is based on factors and skills couples can do something about in any season or stage of life. Helping Couples Win unpacks those factors and skills in 24 sessions. Each session has a 6-10 minute video, session guide and follow-up conversation starters. Take the course at your own pace as a couple or with a small group of couples. These fun and quick sessions cover a wide range of topics including, but not limited to, priorities, maturity, family of origin, quality time, communication, outside influences, sex, honor, laughter, anger and forgiveness.

Enjoying life together is easier than you may think. Marital satisfaction is a choice, not an outcome. As a couple, you decide your way into fun, you don’t stumble into it. Life can be difficult, challenging and painful, but you’ve been blessed with a spouse to journey with you through it all. The Scripture says, “Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun—all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun” (Ecclesiastes 9:9) God did not give you your spouse to be the grind, He gave you your spouse to be a companion through the grind. You do not need to choose between life and spouse. Choose both.
Marital drift occurs when you stop making the daily decisions to enjoy life together. When a couple no longer enjoys life and marriage, they blame each other as the source of the problem, they close their hearts, they isolate from others, they doubt their future and explore other options. There is a way back from drift, disillusionment, and disconnection. This session walks you through 5 symptoms of drift and offers practical ways back to decision, discovery and devotion.
Our children are a welcomed addition to the home, but not the center of it. Prioritizing marriage in the home is a great gift to our children and marriage. Our children see everything we do, hear everything we say, remember and repeat. They have a front row seat to the marriage. This session helps mom and dad model a marriage worth repeating.

He and his wife, Amy, have been married for 24 years and have two children, Corynn and Carson. He is the author of Fun Loving You, Trophy Child, Young and In Love and A Love That Laughs and coauthor of four books with Dr. Gary Smalley including The Language of Sex and From Anger to Intimacy. Ted serves as a lead marriage coach for the American Association of Christian Counselors and is a regular contributor to Christian Counseling Today magazine. He is a comedian on the Date Night Comedy Tour and a frequent conference speaker at corporate events across the country. Ted has keynoted and coached for companies and organizations such as Chick-fil-a, YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization), Pacific Dental Services, Harps Grocery, Millwood Inc, and the Kansas Beef Summit. Ted is a graduate of Liberty University and Dallas Theological Seminary.
